Lake Michigan

for sure

no climbing on chair, k

no touching the sandpile, check

no rock climbing, understood

hmmm.

Sometimes you just gotta go for it…

beach warning appreciated, and, I
decided it was for the birds (who were ‘observing!’)

“You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.”

Still too choppy to go swimming here!!!
But the crazy waves cough up big chunks of beach glass! 🙌

“Letting the soft animal of my body love what it loves.” Grateful for water!

Day 15! Lake Forest Health and Fitness Center – Warm Water Pool.

My four legged cinematographer was “off duty” tonight so unfortunately…you get to see *my* photography skills. For the sake of 40 Days Head Under, let’s hope this “off duty” business is short lived.

I swam lots of laps before this in the real pool and I noticed that my body stayed warm for at least an hour after being out of the pool. I think that means that I continued to burn calories + gain other healthy benefits while doing practically nothing! Swimming = the gift that keeps on giving!
