not easy, esp now. as a wise therapist i know says, “none of us are our best selves right now.” prayer helps. something we weren’t necessarily meant to understand, but most definitely were meant to experience. try it. see what happens. and remember the four agreements this day, as we continue to pray for all those who influence public opinion today. in a metta kind way, that includes those we don’t super care for. may we ALL~regardless of our appearance, opinion, orientation, or level of angst & outrage~ do our best to honor the four agreements. and may we EACH keep our eyes on the One who does.
Be Impeccable with your word.
Don’t take anything personally.
Don’t Make Assumptions
Always Do Your Best
Today, Oct. 29. Pray for those who influence public opinion
Almighty God, you proclaim your truth in every age by many voices: Direct, in our time, we pray, those who speak where many listen and write what many read; that they may do their part in making the heart of this people wise, its mind sound, and its will righteous; to the honor of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
